Coffee and whisky - the perfect combination coming together to create a decadent smoky dark cupcake. I recommend using a good Single Malt (smoky Islay like Bowmore or Port Charlotte works best). Anyone baking these cupcakes should have a liking for Scottish alcohol.
Caramel. Salt. Vanilla. Classic. Fantastic. I don't know what it is about the combination of caramel and salt, but it's simply unbeatable. The same goes for these cupcakes.
Chocolate and peanut butter. A timeless classic. Peanut butter and chocolate are a dream combination.
A fluffy Vanilla Cupcake with Swiss Meringue Buttercream
Poppy seeds and raspberries, a dreamy combination. When I first baked them, my testers said, 'These are the best cupcakes you've ever baked.' I've baked quite a lot of cupcakes, so that should speak for itself. These cupcakes are wonderfully summery or reminiscent of beautiful moments even on cold days when the world was still colorful. Additionally, in my case, it's a sugar-free buttercream, which almost makes an argument for them being healthy.
The batter is based on what you would use for Devil's Food Cake, so it's super fluffy. I like to add a generous amount of chili to the ganache for an extra kick.
